Do you secretly dream of greeting everyone with high-fives because of the success achieved?…..or is this just a parody of reality….
You probably know it, the typing on keyboards and the sales team sitting with Airpods staring at their screens. Why is it so quiet?
You know that more needs to be done, however, you lack motivation, or … shame for going the extra mile….
“pfff look at that one…. ” I can already hear them thinking… “
That’s pretty desperate….
“Looks like we’re back in school…”
“Let me organize a contest, then we’ll go out for a bite to eat afterwards at the company’s expense!”
“Oh no, this is too competitive, it’s bad for the team spirit.”
“Now how on earth am I going to get things excited about getting more meetings on the calendar?”……….
Unfortunately, this is the daily reality among founders, entrepreneurs and sales managers.
There is nothing more frustrating than the silence in the office because there is no contact with new clients.
On a daily basis, I speak with business owners and team managers about motivating the sales team and where there are gains to be made.
During one-on-one in conversations with their team, I discuss where the roadblocks are and where their winning mindset is hidden.
Welke 3 tips wil ik je vandaag meegeven?
TIP 1
The new generation is incredibly talented and first wants to discover for themselves what works.
Therefore, give a clear goal with a deadline and some examples of how you have done before and what result you expect when it is finished.
Also give them the freedom to figure out for themselves how to achieve the result to be achieved. You’ll be amazed at the creativity and positive results.
TIP 2
Encourage them to discuss it with each other, order a box of donuts or healthy 0kcal oatmeal cookies and workshop each other’s plans.
Reserve the boardroom or rent a space and give it an hour.
Bonus tip: Donuts have more sugar and also encourage out-of-the-box thinking…. “Donuts come….. yup… out of the box…”
TIP 3
Let it go, you must first give confidence to get it.
